ATTENTION ZONE 2/WEDNESDAY’S TRASH COLLECTION ROUTE – Due to the Christmas holiday on December 25th, the Sanitation Department will be collecting Wednesday’s trash on Thursday, December 26. This will be the only Trash Zone affected by the holiday.
Fall leaf collection will begin on Saturday, November 23 in Zone 2.
Resident’s are reminded of the Leaf Collection Regulations:
Leaves are required to be in a fenced ring, constructed of wire or plastic mesh, placed 2 feet from the edge of the road. Under no circumstances should leaves be placed in the roadway or on top of storm drain inlets. Leaves will be collected by districts once in the fall and once in the spring. Once collection is deemed complete in the district by the Superintendent, it shall be the responsibility of the property owner to dispose of any additional leaves. If homeowners cannot have leaves raked in time for their collection, they should leave them un-raked in their yard until spring or make other arrangements to have them removed. If using a landscape service, have them remove the leaves. To save time and money, try sharing a leaf ring with your neighbor.
Notice to Resident’s Regarding Curbside Large Trash Pickup - The curbside collection of large trash will not commence until next year (2014). Residents who currently have large trash curbside should remove it immediately and utilize the Saturday drop off or make other arrangements for proper disposal
