Leaf & Brush Collection Information
If there is any thing we have in abundance in Medford Lakes, it’s leaves and brush, and they just keep coming! But, on the bright side, they provide us with cool shade in the summer and lot’s of exercise in the fall raking them up!
All kidding aside, you can do yourself and the Borough a favor by composting leaves in place in a section of your property. You’ll save yourself the trouble of clearing leaves from those areas and save the Taxpayers the expense of Leaf Disposal. If not, see the Collection Schedules further down the page.
Collection by Voting District (Zones)
Leaf & Brush collection is by voting district. Each fall the order of the voting districts is rotated so that no particular district is always first or last collected. Your zone can be found below.

Brush Collection Information
Sticks and stones may break your bones, but the Borough only collects the sticks! In a town with as many trees as Medford Lakes, you can be sure we have a lot of brush. Especially after a big storm. For this reason we pickup brush at trail side several times a year.
Brush can be no longer than 4 feet in length. Brush should be placed on the ground, as close to the road as possible, in a visible location. Brush will no be collected if behind obstacles (trees, mailboxes, cars, fences, etc.). Brush will not be accepted in bags of any type. Collections are in the months of March and September.
Brush must be out by the collection date to ensure that it will be picked up. Cannot be mixed with leaves. If you miss the collection date, brush can be dropped off on Saturdays at the DPW complex between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. (proper resident identification required)
