Ordinances are posted here for public review. Ordinances are introduced by a vote of the Borough Council, and the public can comment on the introduced ordinance during the public comment period only. A Public Hearing date is then set after it passes introduction. The Public Hearing allows members of the public to voice their opinions on the proposed ordinance to Borough Council during the hearing. After the public portion of the hearing closes, the Borough Council Members may or may not make comments about the ordinance. After all council commends conclude a vote to adopt or amend is done by a roll call vote. The Borough Council may decide to take no action, and no vote on the ordinance is taken.
Dates for the public hearings for the proposed ordinance will be listed by ordinance number. The public is encouraged to attend the borough council meetings to voice their opinions.
